My name is DJ Ery, and today I would like to tell you my unique story. Many of you may already know me as a DJ, be it as a club DJ, tour DJ or through my collaboration with well-known rappers. But today is about another topic that is very close to my personal heart – cannabis.

As a poliomyelitis patient, I decided to share my experiences with cannabis publicly. In 1983 I was infected with this disease and it seemed that no one really cared. I lived with my disability and handicap, and tried to make the best of it. Through sports and the support of my grandmother, I even managed to learn to walk again.

Early on, I started using cannabis to deal with my health challenges. At that time, I had to hide it because social acceptance was not yet there. But I was lucky that everything went well. Thanks to this decision, I was able to take advantage of many business opportunities, travelled a lot and met many people. The world of music and artists became my playground.

Cannabis helped me to ease my way. After a serious back surgery in 1996, which lasted 19 hours, I started smoking without caring about the legal situation. I was always considerate of children and those around me, but my personal wellbeing came first. I even flew with weed and I didn’t care because for me it was medicine. If it’s illegal in the world, that’s your problem, I thought at the time.

Fortunately, I never got caught and nothing bad ever happened. But now I am officially a cannabis patient and it has changed my life. Today, I don’t care about anything except consideration for children and, of course, our police. I am convinced that we should not argue or be provocative about this issue anymore. Respect for everyone is the key. When it comes to controversy, I prefer to go my own way, but now I can allow myself. No more paranoia. I can walk the streets freely and confidently.
